Big Bear Ltd acquire the company from Northern Foods to add to their Glisten Confectionery business, which is mainly engaged in private label production.
Glisten Confectionery acquired by Raisio.
Big Bear Group acquired by Raisio to fit into their Western Europe brand operation, which includes Glisten Confectionery. Raisio have a strong presence in Scandanavia with breakfast cereal brands and are also the inventors of ‘Plant Stanol Ester’ which enabled the creation of the Benocol brand.
This discovery was highlighted as one of the ten greatest discoveries in worldwide nutrition.
Raisio acquire Candy Plus, based in the Czech Republic. This acquisition opens further new opportunities for Gum and Jelly confectionery products.
Confectionery division comes together as Big Bear Confectionery.
Big Bear Confectionery is purchased by Valeo Foods - one of Europe’s fastest growing consumer foods producers, with a portfolio of category leading brands, many of them iconic household names.
